THE RIGHT AND WRONG TIME

The right time:

  • When needed to create trust between coach and student

  • During an evaluation to create a long term blueprint

  • When a student needs help in developing a sense of how much they need to change or exaggerate a movement

  • When used to help a player develop their internal feedback systems

The wrong time:

  • When a student is micro analyzing and losing athleticism

  • When it is interfering with internal feedback development

  • When a student is focusing too much on technique and not enough on skill
