TilteBODY TYPES

Ectomorph

ECTOMORPH

An ectomorph is a typical skinny person. Ecto’s have a light build with small joints and lean muscle. Usually ectomorph’s have long thin limbs with stringy muscles. Shoulders tend to be thin with little width.

TYPICAL TRAITS OF AN ECTOMORPH IN GOLF:

  • High mobility, equally greater shoulder turn.

  • Longer limb's combined with high mobility normally resulting in longer, loser swings.

  • When timed correctly can produce high clubhead speeds, but can struggle with Synchronization.

Normally poor muscle stability.

Mesomorph

MESOMORPH

A mesomorph has a large bone structure, large muscles and a naturally athletic physique. Mesomorphs are generally accepted the best body type for golf. They are naturally strong.

TYPICAL TRAITS OF A MESOMORPH IN GOLF:

  • Are generally accepted as the best athletic, and the best golfers

  • Normally can produce good clubhead speed.

  • Can make swings based on most models.

  • Sometimes can be tight, and as a result reduced rotation.

Endomorph

ENDOMORPH

The endomorph body type is solid and generally soft. Endomorphs gain fat very easily. Endo’s are usually of a shorter build with thick arms and legs. Muscles are strong, especially the upper legs.

TYPICAL TRAITS OF AN ENDOMORPH IN GOLF:

  • Will have limited movement across the chest and as a result shorter, more compact swings.

  • Low center of gravity often producing a stable balanced swing.

  • Struggle with rotation.
