Swing Key – Stay Loose

Hi, Robin here. Here’s a key swing thought for anybody who feels like they struggle getting tense at address. Maybe you use your upper body a lot.  You use your big muscles a lot on the swing. We’ve got to keep it loose.  That’s the key thought. Keep it loose. Take your address.  I want you to create a little waggle, feeling like taking the tension out of your hands, forearms, shoulders.  Let’s keep the club head moving, even keep your lower body moving, a little bit of shift between right and left foot.

So everything’s moving, you feel everything loose. And then that grip pressure you have or you’ve created here at setup, you simply keep that during the swing, keeping every part of your body loose. You’ll find that maybe you start to create your movement and energy more from the ground up. If you just take the tension, and keep all your muscles as loose as possible. So, I say, a little key, a little feel for anybody who feels they’re too tense, using their bigger muscles too much, perhaps their upper body too much.
