Reverse Spine Angle Lesson

Reverse Spine Angle Drill, Fixes and Feelings

A good lesson for anyone hitting Pull Shots, Cut/Slice Shots, but mainly anyone with the swing fault, Reverse Spine Angle.  This lesson will show a student who extended his upper body in the backswing causing 1. a lifting of the arms and 2. because of the tilted upper body position, he would start his downswing with his shoulders, causing his arms to move outside the correct plane.  If he released the clubface through impact, he would hit a pull shot, or if he held the clubface open, it would produce a cut shot.  Because his arms were outside plane, he would often early extend in the downswing to try and keep the clubhead close to plane.  Watch the video for the exercise and feeling to cure the Reverse Spine Angle and see how the plane of his swing improved as a result.
